Tonight the parents are facing charges and police say the father of one the children has confessed.

This Brownsville Texas father and mother are accused of taking the lives
of their three children. The appeared before a judge accused
decapitating one child and stuffing the bodies of two other children in
plastic trash bags.. all were under the age of 5.

The parents have been put into custody. The father had confessed to
killing the babies.
Relatives called police after visiting the family at their one bedroom
apartment. Inside, investigators say it was a bloody scene and the
parents were in a trance. They believe the childrens lives were taken
some time on Monday .
Hundreds of neighbors gathered as police collected evidence.

We usually keep an eye on each other but things happen you never know when something is going to happen.
Investigators say this is unusual for their community. Neighbors didnt

Patrick County residents are trying to save their hospital's emergency room.
Some are worried that a propsepctive buyer of the bankrupt R-J Reynolds Hospital will not keep the E-R open and operating.

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors heard from concerned residents today.
The Board says they want to save the hospital but that they have not been given the details of the sale agreement.
Meanwhuile, the C-E-O of the hospital says he cannot comment on the sale because they're in the middle of negotiations.

But a Trustee on the Hospital Board says an operating E-R is part of their contract with the prospective buyer.
The emergency medical community hopes that's the case, but they say they will wait and see.

More than 100-thousand pounds of ground beef sold at Kroger stores are being recalled because of possible E-coli contamination.
The beef came from an American Foods Group plant in Ohio on January 24th.

Kroger says all of it has been sold.
The recall includes ground beef in one, two and three pound foam trays AND ground hamburger patties.
The beef has the code numbers 3-0-2-4 and 3-0-2-5 below the Kroger logo.
Customers can return it to the store for a refund.
Local health officials say they have received no reports of E-coli infection related to the meat, however officials in Ohio are investigating whether the beef caused three children there to get sick.

Zoran (JIHN-jihch) Djindjic was ambushed outside the Belgrade government complex- hit by gunfire that came from a nearby building.

The 50 year old leader was a key leader in the revolt that toppled Slobodan Milosovic in 2000.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing.

The plight of a young Bedford County girl injured in a drive-by shooting has generated overwhelming response from her school and community.

She's still listed in critical condition and her family has left their home in Forest to be by her side.

Now the cable channel is returning the favor.

50 former cars from the Big Apple Subway were sunk in the Atlantic Ocean today.
The old Redbird cars will become an artificial reef off the Virginia Beach Coast.
It will host a variety of aquatic life and should also become a popular destination for scuba divers.
The artificial reef is expected to last about 25 years.

Police near Salt Lake City say missing teenager Elizabeth Smart has been found alive.
According to police, the 15-year-old girl was found in the car of a drifter who was pulled over in a traffic stop today.
Police identified him as someone who once worked in the Smart's home.
