Dozens of homes have been destroyed. Many others are damaged.
One tornado cut a path about ten miles long and 300 yards wide.

The Mitchell County Sheriff says a nine year old and a baby who were reported missing have been found safe.

The NCAA tournament opened this afternoon with a number of nail biters across the country. But nowhere was the madness more evident than at the East regional in Oklahoma City where N.C. State and Cal went to overtime.

Rescue workers had to save a 48 year old man from the edge of Niagara Falls yesterday.

He endured near freezing water for two hours before he was pulled to safety. Authorities say the man was on the American side of the falls when he slid down an icy slope into the Niagara River.
He ended up 20 feet from shore and five feet from the falls' 170-foot drop.
A sheriff's department helicopter was finally able to lower a rescue ring to the man, and police on shore dragged him to safety.
The man is now in the hospital suffering from hypothermia.
