Human remains discovered last night have been sent to the medical examiners office for identification. The body was found in the New River near the Celanese Plant in Giles County.

Authorities are waiting to see if it may be the body of 50- year old John Wagner of Roanoke. Wagner and his friend 36- year old Ty Hodges disappeared after their boat capsized early last month while fishing. Last week, a railway engineer discovered Hodges' body in the same general area.

Virginia Tech police say campus security has increased after a student reported she was sexually assaulted in broad daylight.

Police say the assault took place around eleven o-clock Monday morning, inside a commuter parking lot known as "the cage." Officers say the 21-year-old student doesn't remember much of what happened, but she described her attacker as a six-foot tall white man...and he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Officers says while they are doing everything they can to protect the students, they can't do it alone.
