46-year-old Michael Edward Cheek also was sentenced today.. he got a 44-month prison term.
Two other defendants: 51-year-old Fernando Valenzuela and his 32-year-old son Ariel, are due in court this afternoon.

An armed robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash from a Lynchburg convenience store last night.

Authorities say the suspect robbed the Quik-E store on Fort Avenue around 11:30.
After showing a gun and demanding money, he ordered the employees to lie down on the floor while he ran from the scene.
He's described as a black male, six feet tall with medium build.. he had gray facial hair and was wearing a wig.
Employees thought the man was in his late 40's or early 50's.
Anyone with information should contact the Lynchburg police.

Authorities says a small plane has crashed into a building in Massachusetts.

There is no word yet on any injuries, but the crash occured around 9:30 in Leominster (Lemon- stir).
That is about 35 miles northwest of Boston.
Witnesses say a small jet crashed into an industrial building, sparking a huge fireball.
There were six people on the plane.
Pam Costa, a receptionist at a nearby company, said the plane flew over so low that people joked it was going to land on the floor.
Moments later, she said she looked out the window in time to see fire fill the skies.

Three tour buses crashed this morning near Orlando, Florida, injuring nearly 60 students.

The buses were carrying high school band students from Edgewood, Maryland.
They were traveling to Orlando for a band festival.
Authorities say one of the buses had stopped for traffic on an interstate when it was rear- ended by the second bus.

Two of the students are said to be in critical condition, dozens of others received minor injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

An American soldier, his wife, and child are dead.

The soldier, based out of Washington State was killed earlier this week in a car crash in Oregon.
Yesterday, military officials found the bodies of the soldier's 17- year- old wife and two- year- old son in the family's apartment.

The local sheriff's department says both had been killed, and apparently had been dead for several days.
The 21- year- old soldier is at the center of the investigation.

Authorities say no one was injured.

They were born in December, and are a sub- species of pandas found in southwestern China.
The red panda lives primarily in the bamboo forests of the Himalayan mountains.
Like Giant Pandas, they have an extra thumb to help them hold bamboo shoots.
Zookeepers say the twins were numbers 39 and 40 for Taronga Zoo, which started its red panda breeding program in 1977.
