U-S Central Command says between two-thousand and three-thousand Iraqis were killed when American troops moved through Baghdad yesterday.
A spokesman says some Iraqi civilians welcomed the troops' arrival -- but other Iraqis chose to fight.
Explosions are jolting Baghdad again today as troops prepare for possible urban warfare.
U-S commanders warn that tough combat may still be ahead.

Police located the body of 56 year old (Ga-Kneeve) Geneive Beth Jacobs-Barnett around 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon just about 3-hundred yards away from where she lived. Police say foul play is NOT suspected.

The Homestead Resort plans to suspend all hay rides until further notice after an accident Friday injured several people.

The accident happened about 7:30 PM on Homestead property.
Eleven people were treated and released from Bath County Community Hospital.
Two were airlifted to Roanoke Memorial Hospital Friday night.
Another patient was transferred to Roanoke Memorial yesterday.
We don't know their conditions, but a Homestead Spokesperson says it appears none of the injuries is life-threatening.

Sorry ladies ... actor Russell Crowe is getting ready to tie the knot tomorrow.

The star of the movies "Gladiator" and "LA Confidential" will marry a singer named Danielle Spencer.
His farm in Australia has hosted about 80 guests all weekend for the wedding celebration.
Crowe has intense security for the wedding and even applied for a no-fly zone over his property ... which was refused.
He ended up creating covered walkways to foil the paparazzi instead.
