It has been nearly a year since a young woman from Franklin County was murdered in Raleigh North Carolina.
This weekend, family and friends are gathering at Roanoke College to honor the life of Stephanie Bennett. [TAKE BENNETT FS IN BAM]

Jean, tonight her sorority sisters held an auction to raise money for a scholarship in Stephanie's name.

This comes at a time when they are more questions than answers regarding her death.

Proceeds raised from tonight's auction will fund a scholarship to be given to a Franklin County student who plans to attend Roanoke College.
The family hopes to raise about forty thousand dollars for the scholarship by June.
Tomorrow at noon, the family along with classmates of Stephanie will gather to dedicate a bench and garden in memory of her.

Yemeni investigators now say ten of the 17 suspects arrested in the U-S-S Cole bombing are on the loose tonight- after escaping from prison today.

The prison in Aden is supposed to be tightly guarded.

The bombing killed 17 U-S sailors including Ringgold Native Timothy Saunders.

Roanoke College inducted four athletes into the athletic hall of fame tonight. 1993 graduate Chase Carrick was the first All-American field hockey player in school history.

Two members of the 1978 national championship men's lacrosse team will also be inducted. Michael "Bird" Rawley was a three time all-American midfielder

The sun came out yesterday at Augusta National - the problem is that it just didn't stay out long enough. The 93 golfers vying for the 67th Masters ran out daylight trying to play 36 holes today and as a result they'll have to finish the second round this morning before we know who makes the cut.

Tiger Woods turned in his worst first round score in a major since he turned pro. The two time defending champ shot a four over 76 and at the time was 10 shots back after the first 18. The good news is that only 7 of the 93 players broke par in the first round.
