The umbiliacal cord was still attached to the infant. Identification was difficult as the bodies were decomposed. Bill Lockyer, State Attorney general "Thre is no question in our mind that the unidentified woman is Laci Peterson and the infant is the biological child of Laci and Scott Peterson." Laci's husband, Scott Peterson said he last saw his 8 month pregnant wife on Christmas Eve before he left to go fishing not far from where the bodies were found. He's admitted having an affair with another woman. Police arrested Peterson on a San Diego golf course and have also seized his truck. An anonymous donor is pledging more than ten-thousand dollars.
Investigators are trying to find out who shot and killed a turkey hunter last weekend.
44- year- old David Stack of Maryland was hunting between South Buffalo Road and Bluegrass Trail last Saturday when he was shot in the back.
The Virginia Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is also chipping in a thousand dollars in reward money.

Dominion Virginia Power has agreed to spend more than a Billion dollars to reduce pollution at eight power plants in Virginia and West Virginia.
The company will also pay a more than five-million dollar fine as part of the largest settlement ever with a utility under the nation's clean air laws.
Dominion will be required to install state-of-the-art controls by 2013 at six coal-fired plants in Virginia and two in West Virginia.
The technology should cut emissions of sulfur-dioxide and nitrogen-oxide by two-thirds.

Workers first put in more than one hundred pins to help keep the wigs in place.

Walking is made easier by the fact his boots are made out of reebox sneakers.

Visitors may once again climb to the top of North Carolina's famed light house at Cape Hatteras.

After being closed to sightseers for nearly a year and a half, the lighthouse opened again today.
The National Park service closed Cape Hatteras lighthouse after a portion of the cast iron spiral staircase fell off.
After enduring more than 200-thousand visitors per year... the steps could not support the weight.
Now those stairs have been repaired and people can once again visit the historic landmark.

News 7 sports learned this afternoon that William Campbell all state running back Cedric Peerman has been offered a full scholarship by UVa.

The five foot 10, 195 pound junior scored 50 touchdowns and rushed for two thousand 48 yards on 218 carries in leading William Campbell to the Group A Division I state football championship this past season. Peerman has a 3.7 grade point average and is a qualifier. Clemson, Wake Forest and West Virginia are also expected to offer Peerman a full ride. He has yet to make his college selection.

For the fourth year in a row the Trianon Palace in Versailles, France has organized an exhibit featuring giant chocolate Easter eggs.
16 French and Belgian chocolatiers were invited to create eggs that fit a theme.
This years theme.... Paris, capital of creativity.
Some of the eggs measured more than thirty one inches high.
The royal chocolate Easter eggs are displayed in the same hotel where the Treaty of Versailles was laid down...ending World War One. (------------)
