Two people are dead in an apparent murder-suicide in Henry County.
Authorities say 69 year old Andrew J. Hall shot 49 year old Janice B. Hall before turning the gun on himself.
Both appeared to have died from gunshot wounds to the head.
Family members discovered the bodies yesterday afternoon inside the Hall home on Marigold Road.
Janice Hall had apparently been suffering from a medical condition for some time.
The State Medical Examiners Office in Roanoke will conduct an autopsy.

An automobile accident in Henry County has taken the life of a woman from Bassett.
State Police say 20 year old Tina Michelle Hutchins was traveling west on Route 57 just after 8 o-clock last night.
As she rounded a curve, another car entered her lane, and the vehicles collided head-on.
Hutchins later died at Martinsville Hospital.
There is no word on the condition of the other driver.

Authorities say a man hijacked a city bus with about 20 people on board, including children.
He held the driver at gunpoint, leading a chase for over 70- miles, with police cars and ambulances following.
The hijacker eventually stopped the bus on the Autobahn after a couple of hours, and began negotiating with authorities who now have him in custody.
However, there's still no word on his motive for the hijacking.

The Roanoke Revenge is the name of the women's football team the National Women's Football Association is now officially forming in the Valley.
The team held tryouts last January.
Players are now practicing three times a week.
Owner Connie Hale of Christiansburg says the team is still negotiating to find a local field to play on.
The Roanoke Revenge will play eight games in its first season which is scheduled to begin next April.

University President Paul Stanton says he's very close to making that decision.
Stanton says the football program has been losing a million dollars a year.
E-T-S-U would also have to replace the artificial turf at Memorial Center within the next two years and that would
cost another million dollars.
The team posted a four-and-eight record last season.
Stanton says he'll announce his final decision at the E-T-S-U Foundation's annual meeting on May eighth.
