VMI is raising tuition for in-state students by 23 percent. And out-of-state students will see an 11-percent increase.

So now in-state students will be paying close to 13-thousand a year and out-of-state student will be dishing out more than 25-thousand.
VMI says the increase in fees will make up for recent budget cuts. Officials say the school lost about 2-point-six-million dollars in state budget cuts.
