Event organizers moved the concert to the Roanoke Civic Center because of concerns about rain and the potential for flooding. That announcement sent crews at the Civic Center scrambling to put the stage together, and prepare the floor for thousands of fans. However, even with the change, beer sales WILL be allowed at the Civic Center for this concert, but with a few restrictions.

In some cases the chain stores, such as C-V-S, have been relying on independent pharmacists like Tim Lucas to pick up the slack. At least twice in the past week, he's been asked to help out when C-V-S couldn't fill a regular shift. Lucas attributes the shortage to several factors... chief among them: the fact that the pharmacy degree is now a six-year program, requiring a DOCTOR of pharmacy. The growing demand for pharmacists is affecting salaries.
