Authorities in Halifax County have made a second arrest in a decade old murder case.

23 year old Joseph Gibbons and 20 year old John LaPrade both of Lynchburg were found shot in the back of the head.
Today, Sheriff's Deputies arrested 30 year old Verlie Word Junior of Halifax.
Investigators say the motive appears to have been robbery.
A drug investigation two years ago produced several clues that led to today's arrest.

But Moyer says Clifford appeared angry although his coach hugged him after the slap.

The semi-finals for all of the sports are scheduled for Friday at Radford University - the problem is that at least two teams have not played their quarterfinal game yet.
For the second straight night the Jefferson Forest - Tunstall baseball game in Group Two A was washed out.
The game is now set for Thursday afternoon at 3:30 at Dan Daniel Park. There is a chance the heavy rain in Southside
tonight could force a change of venue.
