The field of candidates is falling into place for the November elections, but the future of one former lawmaker continues to generate speculation.
It appears that only Dick Cranwell knows for sure whether he plans to seek the 22nd district Senate seat.

Party leaders here and in Richmond, including Governor Mark Warner, have urged Cranwell to run.
So far, the Republican nominee former State Senator Brandon Bell, has no Democratic opposition.
But Cranwell isn't saying what his plans are, and associates claim not to know what the veteran delegate has decided.
