Three teenagers are in custody after allegedly carjacking a woman at a Roanoke hotel last night.

Police say a 22 year old woman was approaching her car at the Wyndham Hotel on Hershberger Road, when three teens attacked her around 9-fifteen, and forced her to get in the trunk. According to police, the woman was taken to Campbell County, where she escaped at a convenience store more than two hours later.

A Radford photographer charged following the death of one his models is known by his neighbors as a quiet guy.

56-year-old Robert Edward Lee Shell is charged with sodomy and object sexual penetration, in connection with the death of 19-year-old model Marion Franklin of Boone, North Carolina. Franklin was Shell's assistant and went by the professional name of Chloe Jennings. Police say they were responding to a report of an overdose at Shell's studio June third, when they found Franklin unconscious. Shell told officers she'd taken medication that night before the two of them had sex. Franklin later died at the hospital. Neighbors who know Shell say they were shocked to learn what had happened.

Kim Mathers, the former wife of the often controversial rapper, is in hot water with police in Michigan.
After a night on the town, Mathers was stopped after ignoring a law that requires motorists to merge when a police car is parked on the side of the road.
Authorities learned that Mathers' license had been revoked for three years before searching her vehicle.
That's when they found a small bag of off-white powder.
If the powder is narcotics, she will face a felony drug charge.

There is good news about singer Luther Vandross.

His business manager says he's been moved out of intensive care and upgraded to stable condition.
Vandross had been in critical condition since suffering a stroke in April.
Saying it is like watching a modern day miracle, Carmen Romano reports he is a little more responsive each day. and that Vandross no longer needs a respirator to breathe.
Last week, his friends and family said he was beginning to mouth words and had started light therapy.
