17 artists from ten countries are transforming sand into sculptures.
It is the first International Sand Sculptures festival in Berlin.
22-hundred tons of sand have been dumped near the remains of the Berlin wall.
At first the piles don't look like much, but with shovels and other sculpting tools, artists work their magic.
The artists are working quickly- they must be done by the deadline this Sunday. (------------)
