North of Tucson, the fire has increased in size by thousands of acres--nearly 32-hundred acres of woodland are now burning. Fire officials say they expect the fire to take tens of thousands of acres because there is no good place to stop it.

Rugged terrain and low humidity are partly to blame for slowing down firefighters. And wind speeds of sixty miles an hour plus five years of drought are helping the flames jump fire lines. The fire's cause is still being investigated.
