Now a new program is underway in Virginia. The Identity Theft Passport is part of new legislation that strengthens existing laws in Virginia against identity theft.

A fishing boat crewman is also missing in the Gulf of Mexico.
Today the Coast Guard rescued another crew member who was on that boat.
He was found on an oil platform.

Tens of thousands of homes and businesses are without power in Southeastern Louisiana- some may not have the lights back on until tomorrow.
People are also dealing with broken trees, a mess of downed power lines and flooding.

Lynchburg health officials say a dead crow found there last week has tested positive for the West Nile virus.
The bird was found in the Boonsboro area on June 23rd.
It's the first bird to test positive in the district this year.
Authorities say residents should do their best to eliminate potential mosquito breeding grounds and to protect themselves from mosquito bites.
29 people in Virginia last year contracted the West Nile virus... two of them died.

Police say it is still a missing person case...but they are treating it like a murder investigation. Court documents based on testimony from an informant....say Dennehy was shot in the head by his roommate, Calton Dotson.
Stand up: The informant tells police that Dotson told his cousin the two were arguing and Dennehy pointed the gun at Dotson, but instead Dotson shot Dennehy in the head.
Track: Police have interviewed Dotson but have made no arrest. The affidavit says Dotson went home to Maryland after the shooting and got rid of the gun.

Veteran funnyman Buddy Hackett has died at the age of 78.

His career spanned more than 50 years in nightclubs, movies, theater and television.
On the screen he was best known for "The Love Bug," and "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World."
Hackett could've been one of the Three Stooges if he wanted to be. When Curly suffered a stroke in 1946, He was invited to take his place. Hackett turned down the job, saying he wanted to develop his own comedy style.
The cause of death is not yet known -- although his son saidhis father did suffer from diabetes.

Wildlife conservation officers Pittsburgh Pennsylvania went on a daring mission this afternoon to check on some falcon chicks.

The Peregrine falcons nest is on the 37th floor of the Gulf Towers in downtown Pittsburgh. Every year when a new batch of chicks hatches, workers venture out to the nest to check on the babies.
While one person swats away the angry mother with a broom, other workers retrieve the chicks. The mom did not leave without a fight. She divebombed the workers at 70 miles per hour.
After checking, workers put all four birds back outside so their mother can check on them herself.
