Former Electoral Board member Al Grant has admitted he misappropriated money from the City of Lynchburg.

Grant took numerous out-of-town trips, racking up charges on the city's Diner's Club Card. He would then file for reimbursement for meals and other expenses while he was on the road, claiming the expenses as electoral board business.
Lynchburg Commonwealth's Attorney Bill Petty teamed up with U-S Attorney John Brownlee in a joint prosecution of Grant, after it turned out many of Grant's trips at taxpayer's expense were out of STATE.
