A parasite is killing fish in Smith Mountain Lake, leaving dozens of dead fish floating near the dam. State fish and game officials say the parasite poses no risk to humans who eat the infected bass, but fishermen say they're not so sure. Authorities aren't sure where the parasite came from, but heavy infestations of the parasite are usually found when fish are crowded together.
