Quite a rescue today during Hurricane Claudette. The Coast Guard plucks two fishermen from the sea after their Shrimp boat sank during the storm.
The 92 foot boat was heading to Texas when it was caught.

Officials are meeting in Washington today to discuss the safety of 15 passenger vans. You may remember two years ago when one of those vans carrying a Roanoke Church group overturned in North Carolina killing a local girl- 14 year old Jessika Lewis.

Today the National Transportation Safety Board is recommending stricter safety controls. The NTSB says the vans ... used mostly by churches and day care centers ... are more likely to roll over. The board wanst the federal government to require the vans to meet the same safety standards as cars. They reccommend lap and shoulder belts on all seats and that drivers should get additional training before driving one.

When he yelled, the bear took off.

Police hope new videotape will help them find a man who sexually assaulted a girl at knifepoint in a West Virginia Target Store.

Today new surveillance tape is released that shows the man with the 11 year old in the store.
If you look closely you can see the man leading the girl by her wrist.
Police say the assault happened after the girl and her mother separated in the store to do individual shopping. The man claimed to be a security guard.

Meanwhile poluice are investigating a similar incident at a Walmart in Ashland Kentucky. There, a 9-year old was appraoched by a man who identified himself as a security guard. She then became suspicious and ran to her mother.

Last years movie, "The Mothman Prophecies" was loosely based on an urban legend that said a mysterious creature would forecast doom for a West Virginia community.
Some believe the creature predicted the 1967 collapse of a 700-foot bridge in Point Pleasant.
Now with all the attention, city officials believe the Mothman will bring in the tourist dollars.
