((CEDRIC BRYANT/AMERICAN COUNCIL ON EXERCISE; ONE OF THE CHALLENGES WE FACE IS THAT 60 PERCENT OF AMERICANS DON'T EXERCISE AND SO WHAT THESE CLASSES ARE ATTEMPTING TO DO IS TRY TO MOTIVATE THOSE PEOPLE BY TRYING THESE KIND OF NEW, MORE FUN TYPE ACTIVITIES TO GET THEM INVOLVED AND TO GET THEM OFF THE COUCH))

Some are getting off the couch to go kicking to the rhythm of African music in the class Club Kick.
Even with all the new alternatives, the old advice still remains.
30 minutes of exercise a day is recommended and if you're trying out a new class, use common sense. Don't overdo it.
