The remains of a 150 million year old creature may make some people rethink the Loch Ness Monster.

Gerald McSorley found the remains in shallow water in the Scottish Highlands.
He took what turned out to be a foot long fossil to the National Museum.
Experts there say the remains belonged to a long-necked sea reptile.
The well-preserved fossil clearly shows the vertebrae, with spinal chord and blood vessels set in grey limestone.

Museum experts believe the find is not related to "Nessie", as Loch Ness was formed only about 15-thousand years ago.
But McSorley has no doubts about the fossil's significance and Nessie's existence.
