Around 11 o'clock 29 year old Timothy Myers got into an argument in the parking lot of the Big and Tall Casual Male store. Police say the suspect fired shots at Myers, hitting his car twice. Myers ran to a nearby restaurant for help while his Ford Explorer hit the side of the store. Police say Myers and the suspect did know each other. Authorities have not identified the suspect. They're asking for anyone with information to come forward.

That is about 22-thousand more than previously forecast.

The New River Health District is reporting its first case of West Nile this year. Officials say a dead crow found on Newbern Road in Pulaski has tested positive for the virus. A West Nile infected crow was also found in Franklin County off Tripple Creek Park Road. Last year, 29 Virginians became infected with West Nile Virus.

This afternoon the ACC disclosed that it has formally asked the NCAA to change its existing rule concerning post season championship games in football. NCAA regulations currently state that a conference must have a dozen teams to hold such a game. The ACC is asking that any conference with at least 10 teams be able to do so. No final action will be taken on this until next April at the earliest.
