Leading the bizarre way was Tiger Woods who hit his first shot of the round into the high, thick rough at Royal St. George's. It would be tough enough to hit it out - but the problem was that not a single person could find the ball. About 25 people looked for it, but after the five minute search limit expired - no one found it. So Tiger had to head back to the tee and start over. He finished the hole with a 7. He ran into more problems on hole number 12 when his shot out of this deep pot bunker ricocheted left and led to the first of three straight bogeys on the back side. Wood finished with a 2 over par round of 73 and really has to feel fortunate to be there. He's five shots behind South African Hennie Otto - who shot a 68 in some very windy conditions.
