Police are now tracking a weapon as they investigate the case of "missing college athlete" Patrick Dennehy.
Waco police say found a gun in the apartment of one of Dennehy's teammates, Harvey Thomas.
They're trying to figure out it's connected to Dennehy's disappearance.

Authorities in Pittsylvania County have found the body of a man they believed drowned in Cherrystone Lake. The body was recovered around 7 o'clock this evening. The police were called when the man's vehicle was seen parked at the lake unattended. Divers and the Chatham Rescue Squad assisted in the recovery. Police say they do not suspect foul play. The body is being sent to Roanoke for an autosy.

Police in California say the elderly driver who plowed through a farmer's market may have been involved in another collision less than a block away.

They're investigating whether 86 year old Russell Weller may have hit a Mercedes moments before running down dozens of people, killing ten of them and injuring 20 others. 18-year-old Christopher L. Lee was arrested in April in connection with six small fires at Liberty. He pled guilty today to one count of arson, a charge that carries a sentence of two to ten years behind bars. Sentencing is scheduled for September. Prosecutors say Lee claimed to have set the first fire in retaliation for the theft of his jacket, but he then became addicted to the thrill.

They're raising funds to help renovate Cave Spring's track and fields which are in desperate need of repair.

Bayardo Rafael Chamorro was taken into custody outside of the store a short time later.
It turns out he is a registered sex offender since November of 20-01. At his bond hearing, Chamorro was charged with three counts of lewd lascivious acts on a minor--bond was set at 25-thousand dollars, but a hold has been placed on him so he cannot be released.

for the athletes to parade into the Roanoke Civic Center coliseum for the opening ceremonies. As is always the case, many of the sports were showcased with demonstrations for the fellow athletes and guests to enjoy. The games are in their 14th year, and tonight they can truly say they have come full circle. The guest speaker was Tom Dolan, the two-time Olympic gold medal winner in swimming who competed in the very first Commonwealth games before heading to the University of Michigan and later onto international success.

Still, despite his problems - Tiger is just four shots out of the lead.

Only thing is Pelusa's not supposed to be purple.
She's undergoing treatment for a skin disease. That's turned her snowy white fur- what you could call "polar bear purple."
The skin is being treated with violet- a purple antibacterial staining liquid.
It's sometimes used on children for cuts.
