Centcom tonight says (Ooo-day and Koo-say) were killed in a fierce gun battle- General Ricardo Sanchez saying the two resisted coalition forces to aprehend them- that's when gunfire erupted.
U-S officials would not elaborate on how the two were identified only saying multiple sources were used and they are sure it was Saddams two sons who were killed.

About one-quarter of Jennifer's remains were found in the stream bed nearly 10 months ago.
The nine year-old was shot and killed after being kidnapped from the house where her parents were found murdered.


Though new leads are drying up, about eight investigators from Henry County and North Carolina remain on the case from day to day.
There's a 42-thousand dollar reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Three people were hurt, at least one seriously when two cars collided on a busy road in Lynchburg this morning.

It happened around 10:15 at the intersection of Leesville Road and McVeigh (mick-VAY) Road.
A white Pontiac Grand Prix and a gold Honda Accord collided, trapping the occupants of the Honda inside their car.

Rescue crews had to cut the roof off the car to get the victims out.
One was flown to Lynchburg General Hospital.. two others were taken by ambulance.
Police are still trying to piece together what happened.

A 17 year old Roanoke County girl is headed to prison for causing an accident that killed her friend.

Prosecutors say Lynsi Mayes was drunk when she crashed her car on Bent Mountain Road in May of 2002.
Witnesses estimated that Mayes drank at least four 40 ounce beers before her car went airborne and hit a tree, killing a passenger 15 year old Casey Bane.
A judge sentenced Mayes to a ten year suspended sentence for involuntary aggravated manslaughter.

Carlton Dotson Junior is charged with murdering Dennehy- after authorities say he made self incriminating statements when he talked with the FBI.

Meanwhile police in Texas have narrowed their search for Dennehy's body based on information they say they received from Dotson.
While the search goes on, Dotson remains in Maryland. His attorneys refused to waive the right to an extradition hearing which would have allowed for his immediate transfer to Texas.

The city of lights looked more like the city of smoke for awhile today- fire broke out at a symbol of the city- the Eiffel tower.

The fire started at the top floor sending smoke into the sky over Paris.
The tower was evacuated and no one was hurt.
The Eiffel Tower was built for the 1889 World fair to commemorate the centenary of the French Revolution.
The tower is more than 300 yards high and weighs more than 10-thousand tons.
