Logan was in the couple's care when he disappeared January Eighth, even though his mother, Davis, did NOT report him missing until two weeks later. At the time, investigators said they also learned through family members that Logan had also suffered from water burns and wasn't taken to the doctor.

School Board Chairman Gloria Manns would not discuss specifics of the discussion, but said the session was upbeat and productive.
Lewis was reassigned to patrol duty after he admitted speaking with a newspaper reporter. He has been fighting to return to the position he held for ten years at Patrick Henry High School.

The young man who died in a wreck on Poage Valley Road Extension May 18th may actually have been driving the Chevy Blazer, even though he was really just a passenger. Evidence introduced at a preliminary hearing for Adam Koestline (KESS-line) today indicates Koestline asked Hiawatha Boyd to take the wheel, as Koestline reached for a cell phone. The S-U-V ran off the road, careened along a fence and tumbled into a steep ravine. Seventeen year old Hiawatha Boyd, Junior, was dead. Judge Phil Trompeter certified a charge of IN-voluntary manslaughter against Koestline.

Two people were injured in an accident on Route 460 in Roanoke County this afternoon. Witnesses told State Police that two motorcycles were heading east at a high rate of speed, when a car pulled across the road. Police say 19 year old Christopher Jaroszewski (JAR-oh-zoo-ski) hit the car, and 18 year old Benjamin Hartman ran off the road. Both men were charged with not having motorcycle endorsements, and Jaroszewski faces reckless driving charges. The motorcyclists were taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, there is no word on their conditions.

Lance Armstrong's lead in the Tour de France was trimmed by two seconds today by Germany's Jan Ullrich setting up a time trial showdown for the title.

Pablo Lastras of Spain won today's 18th stage at an average speed of 31 miles per hour. He completed the course in 4 hours, 3 minutes, and 18 seconds. Armstrong and Ullrich finished in a pack of riders 24 minutes behind Lastras. Armstrong's lead is now 65 seconds over Ullrich. Sunday's finish could be one of the closest in the 100 year history of the race.
