A Roanoke man who went to West Virginia to have sex with someone he thought was a young girl will spend two years in federal prison.
53-year-old Frank George Bonds was sentenced yesterday in Huntington, West Virginia.
Bonds pleaded guilty in May to crossing state lines to engage in a criminal sex act with a minor.
He arranged the meeting last year in an Internet chat room, but the supposed 13 year old girl was actually a U-S postal inspector.

The ordinance will allow the sale of beer and wine at six locations in the city during special non-city events. Some of the areas on the list include Bissett Park, Riverside Park and the Radford Recreation center. The measure passed by a vote of three to two but at least one council member who approved the ordinance suggested re-wording the policy. Councilman Bill (yeh-rick) Yerrick says Bissett Park and the Rec center are areas where young people might be present when alcohol is served.
