Two others were injured when a police station was bombed.
Military officials say the soldiers were guarding the police post in northern Iraq, when a homemade bomb exploded.

A Roanoke infant drowned in a bathtub over the weekend.
Police say the boy's mother told them she put 10 month old David Anthony Dooley in the bathtub with her 3 year old son to answer a knock on the door.
When she returned, the younger child was found in the water.
The child was transported to Community Hospital, but was not revived.

John Richard Mayhew's trouble with the law began in Ohio when police say he shot and killed his former wife and her fiance on Thursday, then took his daughter hostage.

Mayhew was traveling through West Virginia Saturday when he was pulled over by a sheriff's deputy for not having an inspection sticker.
State police say when the deputy approached the vehicle and started a conversation, Mayhew pulled out a gun and shot the officer in the chest.

Gregory Hines was 57 years old.
