Some power is beginning to come on again in parts of New York City, but it is slow going- and it may be awhile before life returns to normal.

Now the company's imposed a deadline of noon tomorrow to reach a tentative agreement.
If an agreement is NOT reached, the company plans to move forward with ways to ensure Goodyear's success.

An accident in Bedford County killed a man this morning and has renewed calls for safety improvements.

Police say 55 year old Harold David Jennings was driving a delivery truck North on Route 122. 72 year old Harry Leigh Peters pulled out from Route 24, striking the truck, causing it to spin out of control, and flip over.
Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene, and police say he was NOT wearing his seatbelt.
Peters was not hurt.
Police are consulting with the Commonwealth's Attorney to determine if charges should be filed.
Meanwhile, residents say that they're tired of seeing these accidents, and want VDOT to rebuild the intersection or put in a stoplight.

In fact, a new study shows Americans are not getting enough exercise of any kind.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention took a study that relaxed somewhat the definition of exercise.
It did not just include vigorous exercise, but it also included other activities such as sweeping, gardening, and tossing a frisbee.
Americans still came up short.
More than half of adults did not get the minimum 30 minutes four days a week.

Lefthander Phil Mickelson - the man who is still in search of his first major - shot a four under par round today and is tied for the lead after 18 holes with Rod Pampling.
Robert Allenby had the shot of the day on the pat 3, 225 yard long 11th hole. A couple of hops and a nice roll later would net him a sweet little home in one.
As for Tiger Woods , he has some work to do tomorrow. Tiger shot a four over 74 today. He had five bogeys and one birdie.

630 of them were unveiled on the sidewalk in front of the Grandin Theatre.
Each star represents a supporter who donated one-thousand dollars to help restore the Roanoke landmark.
130 are still up for grabs.
The Grandin's also kicking off a campaign rewarding a 250-dollar contribution with a theatre seat engraved with the donor's name.
The whole neighborhood is reaping the benefits.
Since the theatre reopened, three new restaurants have come to the area.
