The leader of the U-N says the world body will continue its work in Iraq, despite the bombing that left 20 people dead.
And authorities are on the scene of a fire in Salem.
Once again the morning clouds and patchy fog are diminishing which will lead to a partly sunny afternoon. I'll have your forecast.

A business on West Main Street in Salem caught fire late this morning.
The fire at Northwest True Value Hardware near Butt Hollow Road broke out around 11:15, and officials say the damage is extensive.
Salem and Roanoke County firefighters are working to get the fire under control.
We have crews in the area and we'll have more on it as soon as possible.
Who was behind the deadly bombing in Iraq, and has the U-S lost control of the situation there?
Those are just a couple of questions being asked.

The Palestinian Prime Minister, meanwhile, is expected to decide whether to shift policy and order the arrests of Palestinian militants.
This morning, Israeli security forces tightened their control around Palestinian towns and cities, building new roadblocks and making travel by Palestinians almost impossible.
At least 20 people died in the suicide attack-- many of the victims were children.
Members of the Palestinian militant groups Hamas and Islamic Jihad have claimed responsibility.
A tractor trailer accident in Roanoke County sent one person to the hospital this morning.
It happened around ten this morning on Route 419 at the interchange to Interstate 81.
Police say an unidentified woman came off the interstate and attempted to cross over onto Route 419.
A tractor trailer heading northbound had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting the vehicle's tail.
The load on the tractor trailer then shifted, pinning the driver against the steering wheel.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Not one, but two separate wildfires are burning on national forest land in Oregon.
Authorities still don't know what started either of them.
[SUPER=03-Deschutes National Forest, OR;]
The Bear Butte Fire and the Booth Fire are both burning on opposite ends of Camp Sherman.
Both blazes reportedly grew between 800 and a thousand acres in just a matter of hours.
The fires forced the evacuations of campgrounds.
Air tankers are being used to drop water on the blazes.
President Bush, meanwhile, had planned to visit the national forest as part of a trip to talk about forest thinning and wildfire prevention.
It's not known if he still plans on going.

Franklin County is undertaking a multi-million-dollar plan to pipe water from Smith Mountain Lake to other parts of the county.
The Board of Supervisors approved financing for the first phase of the project at its meeting last night.
The county estimates it will cost 3-point-6 MILLION dollars to build a water line from Bedford County to the Westlake Corner area... but the entire project could cost more than 50-million.
It hopes to start work early next year and complete it in in 2005.
A public hearing on the financing will be held September 16th.
