Franklin County authorities are looking for a robber who posed as a stranded motorist.
Deputies say the man robbed an elderly man at his house in the 58-hundred block of Franklin Street around 3 this afternoon.
Kermit Shively says he was unloading groceries from his car when the man walked up and told him his car had run out of gas.
The robber then helped Shively carry groceries into his home.
Once inside, he attacked Shively and stole his wallet.
Deputies are still searching for the robber and a white Ford Tempo also spotted in the area.

Roanoke Express general manager Chris Pollock said by phone today that the team WILL be playing hockey at the Roanoke Civic Center by opening night October 17th the only question right now is what the make up of the team will be. The Express owners join other ECHL owners this week in Las Vegas to try and come to a collective bargaining agreement.
In other news, the Roanoke Express announced today that center Mike Peron has signed a contract with a team in Sheffield England. He played for the Express for six seasons and parts of two seasons in the AHL. Peron, easily one of the most popular players ever in the Roanoke Valley, racked up 262 points with 90 goals and 172 assists.
