They say Goins was painting a historic house that burned down on Cornwallis Avenue in South Roanoke in July.
The home's owner, Ed Walker, says Goins was a great painter, but that he apparently had a fight with his foreman shortly before the fire.

Yesterday a mime took to Roanoke's market area to teach people about the symptoms of presbyopia (Prez'-by-opia), and how Johnson and Johnson's new lenses can improve them. Presbyopia is a disorder that affects nearly all people by their early 40's. The eye's lenses harden making it difficult to focus close up and far away without glasses. The new Definity lens blends the lines found on bi-focals, allowing the eye to focus easier. There's currently no cure for the disorder. Johnson and Johnson's mime will be out on the street again today. (------------)
