A Giles County minister accused of child molestation now faces more charges. Police arrested Roger Holcomb of the Pembroke Church of God last Wednesday for allegedly molesting a seven-year-old girl. Today, the Sheriff's office filed ELEVEN additional charges against Holcomb. Authorities say Holcomb abused four other juveniles ranging in ages from seven to 13. All of the alleged victims attended his church. Holcomb is being held without bond and will be arraigned next week on all 13-charges.

The school year in St. Louis began today, but many students were not in their seats --instead they were pounding the pavement in protest.

The students and 200 parents marched to the Board of Education and City Hall in protest of what they call hazardous conditions in the schools. They say the closing of 16 schools forces students to walk many miles to class. It is not known how many kids missed class today, but some say they won't return to school until certain demands are met.

A V-M-I grad hopes to re-create the traditional Southern military college... the way it was before women were allowed and before courts banned mealtime prayers.
A nonprofit group headed by Michael Guthrie is planning to buy a 450-acre farm in Tennessee and open the Southern Military Institute.
It would be the nation's only private, all-male, four-year military college.
Guthrie says the school will extol the virtues of military discipline and the legacy of General Robert E. Lee.
Guthrie says he hopes to open with a first class of about 30 cadets in the fall of 2004 and eventually grow to about 12-hundred cadets.

Researchers say an alarming number of teenager girls are ignoring the risk of skin cancer later for the sake of a good tan now.
A study found that 28 percent of younger white teens have used tanning booths at least three times.

Harvick, known as the California Kid, was hit with a $35 thousand dollar fine tonight and put on probation the rest of the year after hitting Ricky Rudd and Wood Brothers' car after the race. He also was targeted for his use of profanity and actions detrimental to stock car racing. Four of Harvick's crew members also were fined an additional $20 thousand bucks. The best thing NASCAR could have done was simply let Rudd fight him - that would have hurt Harvick way more than the fine.

The Lynchburg Hillcats will not repeat at Carolina League champions. The William Fleming Colonels named their new boys' head basketball coach this afternoon, and he's no stranger to Fleming or the Roanoke Valley. Mickey Hardy will take over for Rick Hall this winter.

Acupuncture has been used for centuries on humans --now one doctor in Singapore is using it on lizards.

Tirto, a komodo dragon in Singapore, had been refusing to eat because of parasites in his digestive system and a neurological disorder. Tirto's condition was not responding to modern medicine, so one veterinarian turned to traditional Chinese methods -- acupuncture. Thin needles are placed in the lizard's back, legs and mouth twice a week in order to help strengthen Tirto's immune system. The veterinarian reports improvements after only a few treatments.
