Tomorrow marks the two year anniversary of the 9-11 attacks- Two years ago that planes crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania and two years ago that thousands of lives were lost.
Today a new tape is released that may be from the mastermind behind the attacks- Osama bin laden.

But one local lawmaker wants to help Virginia avert a problem by bringing malpractice insurance reform to the Old Dominion.

Dozens of doctors, employers, attorneys and insurance agents talked about what to do about the problem.
Some local physicians say they're seeing more doctors retire or refuse to enter specialized fields because of the rising costs of malpractice insurance.
Newman says consumers are suffering as well.

Newman says he hopes to avoid crises like what have happened in other states where doctors have staged strikes and walkouts in protest of insurance rates.
He also downplays the importance of the issue to his re-election campaign.
Finance reports show that more than fifty doctors and medical groups have donated over 27-thousand dollars to his campaign since last summer.
Newman says most of those donors have given to his previous campaigns and that tonight's summit was "not" about politics.

The city says it's following established procedures to test and dispose of the drum and its unidentified contents.

Police say Joan Moses was driving on McCoy Road yesterday, when the school bus she was driving crashed into the back of a pickup truck. Two children and the driver of the truck, Frank Harrison were hurt. A Radford photographer is now charged with murder.

A grand jury indicted Robert Shell this afternoon on nine charges, including felony homicide, defilement of a dead human body, forcible sodomy and distribution of drugs. The 56-year-old photographer had already been charged with object sexual penetration, in connection with the death of his model and assistant, Marion Franklin of North Carolina. Police found the 19-year-old model dead in Shell's studio June 3rd. The prosecution will NOT release results of an autopsy. Franklin's family released a statement today, saying Shell was a much older man who took advantage of a young girl's desire to better herself - and for that there must be justice.

Shell will remain on house arrest if he is able to make a 75-thousand dollar bond and show proof that his wife will allow him to stay with her. A judge also allowed Shell to visit his office once a week to finish work on a book.

The company wants to build the plant in the Martinsville Industrial Park.

The YMCA is celebrating a successful capital campaign, that has raised millions for two new buildings.

Buddy Brown, the head football coach at Tunstall high school for almost two decades has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated. His arrest came back on August 14th according to court records. Those documents also indicate that Brown refused to take a breathalyzer or blood test at the time of the arrest.

One thing Allison has been able to figure out is how to win with a team whose make up is half freshman. Of course it helps to have former Blacksburg star Harper Thorsen in net. Buena Vista's municipal golf course project is for the most part on-time and on-budget.

There have been a few minor challenges. A main road that will service the course will likely cost twice as expected, a hole in the bottom of a pond needed fixing, and rains in spring and summer delayed construction. Even with the glitches city leaders are happy with the progress, and are ready for the next phase.

The city will spend a little more than 7 million dollars on the project, but the course is expected to bring in about a million dollars a year, and could spur more than 30 million dollars in new home construction. The first golfers are expected to tee off next summer. (------------)
