A grand jury indicted Robert Shell this afternoon on nine charges, including felony homicide, defilement of a dead human body, forcible sodomy and distribution of drugs.

The 56-year-old was already charged with object sexual penetration, in connection with the death of his assistant, Marion Franklin of North Carolina.
Police found the 19-year-old model dead in Shell's studio June 3rd. Prosecutors have not revealed the cause of death.
Franklin's family released a statement today saying Shell was a much older man who took advantage of a young girl's desire to better herself... and for that there must be justice.

Even if Shell posts bond, he will remain on house arrest.
A judge has allowed Shell to visit his office once a week to finish work on a book.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges September 30th.

Witnesses from Perdue Pharma- -the makers of the powerful pain medicine OxyContin - - were called to testify on behalf of the government.
A sales representative for the drug company testified that Doctor Knox's rate of OxyContin prescriptions was "flat" during the time she was calling on him.
During opening statements the government portrayed Knox as a physician pushing opiates, contrary to his patients' wishes.
The defense painted Knox as a compassionate advocate for his patients.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have reportedly postponed their ceremony.
Access Hollywood'' and ``Entertainment Tonight'' both say the wedding won't take place this Sunday as scheduled.
The media frenzy surrounding the ceremony is to blame.
Publicists for Lopez and Affleck have not been available for comment yet.
Earlier today someone revealed the ceremony was planned for the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles. A caterer spilled the beans to someone else having their wedding there at the same time.
