A fatal motorcycle accident in Floyd County Sunday evening took the life of the passenger. State police say the northbound Harley-Davidson ran off route 221 just north of Floyd, went down an embankment and hit a fence. 55 year old Alisa Marie Duncan of Floyd was killed. Investigators say charges are pending against the driver, 55 year old Lehman Leroy Horne of Pilot. He's being treated at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Two fire companies were called out Sunday to battle a barn fire in Pittsylvania County.
Callands and Chatham volunteers responded to a log barn where tobacco was being cured. Fire officials say it started when the curing process got out of control. Damage is estimated at around 6-thousand dollars.

It was an eventful day for Johnson's crew as Michael Waltrip squeezes Jeff Gordon on pit road. Gordon has no where to go and runs over three of Johnson's crew members. All three were just a little banged up but did continue in the race.
A long weekend continued for Dale Jarrett as he gets turned around by Jimmy Spencer on a restart. D-J turned in a 41st place finish.
Johnson's crew came up big during a quick stop for fuel just 25 laps from the finish. As the other contenders were forced to pit for gas late in the race, Johnson gradually made his way to the front, holding off Ricky Rudd for the checkers.

Trailing 17-nothing, Skins QB Patrick Ramsey got off to a rocky start as he gets sacked coughing it up. Former Virginia standout Patrick Kerney recovered for the Falcons.
After cutting the deficit to 17-14, Johnson gave the Dirty Birds a ten point cushion by hooking up with Alge Crumpler on the 1yd TD pass. It was 24-17 Atlanta at the break.
But the Skins 'd' took back the momentum in the third quarter. Jesse Armistead got to Johnson for the safety and then Ramsey and the offense did the rest.
