A Lexington teen was killed when the car she was driving hit a tree in Rockbridge County yesterday.
State Police say 16 year old Heather Nicole Edgarton was driving too fast on the wet roads.

Investigators say Edgarton was driving on state route 646 near Collierstown (CALL-YOURS Town), when the car went off the roadway, then crossed back and struck a tree near the driver's side door. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The bridge in Rockingham, North Carolina where Jennifer Short's remains were found will be named in her memory.

It will now be known as the Jennifer Renee Short Memorial Bridge. On Thursday, the highway department agreed to name the bridge in memory of the little girl who's remains were found there nearly a year ago.
