Virginia's Department of Emergency Management is ready to respond to whatever Isabel delivers.

More than 100 people made up of 15 state agencies will track the storm and then provide assistance to localities when needed.

The governor also has 500 National Guard troops on standby ready to be deployed along with 500 state troopers.
The state police will work to keep the roads moving since many have decided to evacuate their homes.

The Radford city police department is now itself under investigation. Salem Commonwealth's attorney, Fred King, was appointed special prosecutor to "oversee matters involving personnel" in the Radford police department. King says the probe follows a complaint filed late last month, be he would not comment on the nature of that complaint.

Three hostages have been released, but up to a dozen more are still being held at Dyersburg State Community College in western Tennessee. Jones and hs reasearch staff that includes Salem Civic Center director Carey Harveycutter, traveled to OHio in August to look at the Astro Play at, among others, Mount Union, regular at the Stagg Bowl. New York Giant running back Tiki Barber practices on a similar surface and the Georgia Dome, where Vick was injured, might receive a visit from the Salem research team to see their surface. Buying either astro play or field turf will cost approxamaetly 750 thosuand bucks. ((:))

All that helped bury Karyn 20 thousand dollars in debt, so she started a website called "Save Karyn" to dig herself out. It was a site detailing her problems and asking for DONATIONS. And it worked. Karyn says people sent her 13- thousand dollars. She has written a book and is now working on a movie deal.
