Good Evening. I'm Jean Jadhon.
Indeed it is a large storm- Not only is the shore taking a pounding- Israel is also bringing heavy rain to a huge area covering several states.
More than 700 thousand people in Virignia alone are without power tonight- thousands have taken refuge in shelters.
We will go to Virginia Beach live tonight but first Stacy Case joins us live with the latest from Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

David Sawyer/Kill Devil Hills Resident "It's one of the worst that I've been through." While the surf churns, gusting winds are tearing off roof tiles and sending debris dancing across lawns. Telephone have been sliced right through. And building too close to the ocean is proving costly.
Stacy Case: After a summer of heavy rains, the saturated ground is primed for severe flooding forecasters say could push far inland. Isabel came ashore at high tide with a storm surge that is making matters even worse. This motel owner decided to ride it out. He wants to get a head start on putting the pieces back together after the damage has been done. Nick Nosi/Motel Owner "We wanted to be able to asses our values and damages as soon as possible for insurance adjusters to get us back up and running." Getting back is a concern for home owners too. The last time a hurricane chased them out, getting in was as much trouble as the storm itself. David Sawyer/Kill Devil Hills Resident "IT was so hard getting back in that we decided just to stay and see what happens." Now there is nothing left to do but wait for the storm to pass...so the clean-up can begin. Stacy Case/CBS New. Kill Devil Hills))
