Another Virginia Tech student is in the hospital, after falling from a three-story building. Police say it happened around 1:30 this morning at "The Chase" apartments in Blacksburg.

Kimberly, police say 21-year-old Keara Murphy had locked herself out of her apartment and was trying to get in through the balcony, when she fell. This is the second accidental fall involving a Virginia Tech student this week,

A former Virginia Tech employee was convicted today of embezzlement.

37-year-old Angela Harvey was sentenced this morning to 10-days in jail, for embezzling more than 70-thousand dollars from the university's Foreign Language department. Harvey was a program support technician for the department, and embezzled the money through false reports of overtime and travel reimbursements. The three felony charges were reduced to misdemeanors through a plea agreement. Harvey was also fined one thousand dollars and must serve 100-hours of community service. She has since paid back all of the money.

Last year it was drought. This year too much rain has meant disaster for farmers.
The federal government has declared an agricultural disaster in Carroll, Floyd, Henry and Patrick Counties.
Farmers there may be eligible for federal loans to cover substantial damage to their crops.

An industrial expansion in Bland County will bring 75 new jobs to the area.
ABB Incorporated says it will expand its Small Power Transformer Manufacturing operations.
The three million dollar expansion will add to the company's current workforce of 220.
ABB is Bland County's largest private employer.

President Bush isn't surrendering to the latest findings by weapons inspectors in Iraq-- who say they've found NO proof that Saddam Hussein had illegal weapons.

A jury found 36 year Jerry Killen guilty of first degree murder and use of a firearm.

The bankupt textile company announced last night that joint-venture GGST submitted the highest bid for its assets.
