The polls are open, as Election Day arrives in California.
As they sort through the mud- slinging and accusations, voters will decide whether embattled Governor Gray Davis should be recalled-- and if so-- who among the 135 candidates should replace him.
Republican Arnold Schwarzengger is the front-runner to replace him, but some polls show it's too close to call.

Democrats are hoping for a high voter turnout, which they believe could help Governor Davis keep his job.
But California's G-O-P leader says Davis will be out -- and Schwarzenegger will be IN as the new governor.
If Davis loses, he'll become only the second governor in the nation to be recalled.
Elizabeth Sanchez is in Los Angeles, and joins us now with an update.

Billy Ray Manns was charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder in connection with the shooting death of Lisa Nicole Muhammad in September of 2000.
His first trial ended in a hung jury.
Another jury found Manns NOT GUILTY at the retrial in April.
Then in July, Manns was charged with breaking and entering in a separate incident in Bassett.
During that investigation, Henry County deputies obtained new information regarding the Muhammad case, and now a grand jury has indicted Manns for conspiracy to commit murder.

If convicted, Manns faces five to twenty years in prison.
