And the officer says Saddam is believed to be the source behind the attacks that are killing American soldiers at a rate of nearly
one every two days.
That, as President Bush plans to take to the airwaves to fight against critics of the war in Iraq.

Relatives of an inmate who died in a state prison say he could have been saved.
Lawyers for the family of Larry Frazier say a medical device at the Wallens Ridge prison could have saved him as he lapsed into a coma three years ago.
Frazier suffered heart failure after being shocked repeatedly with a stun gun in a prison infirmary.
The allegation came in a motion filed last week in a 204 million-dollar lawsuit.
Lawyers for Frazier's family say they recently discovered that an automatic external defibrillator was not used to revive him.
The motion states Frazier's doctor did not know the device was available.
The attorney who represents the medical service says the company did NOT have time to train all of its employees on its use.
