37-year-old Melinda Kingery was indicted this month by a grand jury.
Prosecutors say she was assigned to help the 17-year-old boy and his family.

In the OxyContin trial of Doctor Cecil Knox today, a physician who sees the same kind of patients offered an analogy to explain the uncertainty of treating chronic pain. Doctor Richard Bonfiglio said, "it's like driving down a highway with no posted speed limits," when it comes to medication. "If I use too little" the doctor testified, "I'll be sued." On the other hand, if a doctor prescribes too much, the patient could be in trouble. Or, as in Dr. Knox's case, the doctor could be in trouble ...with the law. The celebrated OxyContin trial is now in its sixth week, and it may not be over until next week.
