With less than three weeks remaining, the tax amnesty program is on pace to meet its target goal of 48 million dollars.
The state has already collected 10 million dollars and they expect that amount to more than triple as the deadline approaches.

Roanoke police say Jenni Northrup and her mother have decided that continuing with the investigation into Jenni's alleged abduction would be too emotionally draining. They asked that the case not be pursued. Jenni disappeared from the Williamson Road area in late September. The 16-year old turned up in Central Virginia a week later claiming to have been kidnapped by two men. No arrests have been made. Police say, unless they hear from anyone with information to support the kidnapping claim, the case is closed.
