Roanoke County school board members believe they've reached an agreement with residents of Botetourt County involved in a school related boundary situation.

15 families on Hill Drive have paid Roanoke County taxes for years, but recently discovered they live in Botetourt County. That caused problems for eight school children who want to continue attending the same schools. School board members met with the families today and say they've drafted a proposal. Board member Mike Stovall says he can't divulge the details of the proposal until the board votes on it November 20th, but calls it a "win- win" situation for everyone involved.

Six people were killed following a string of accidents after the U-V-A North Carolina State game.

The accidents happened near Carter-Finley Stadium in North Carolina, shortly after the game ended.
Authorities say two cars collided, setting off a deadly chain of events.
A group of pedestrians went into the road to help.
THEY were then hit by a van.
Police say the van's driver was driving drunk.
All of the victims were from North Carolina.
It's not clear whether any of them had attended the game.

About 65-students took part in a Peace Walk today, in an effort to promote non-violence in schools. The money raised will be used toward mediation programs, as well as a mediation scholarship. The Amy-B-Barnhart Scholarship Fund is awarded to a high school student who has been an example of non-violent dispute resolution, either through a personal conflict or by working with those who are in conflict.
