Several families in Danville are homeless tonight.
A fire at the Cabin Lake Apartments destroyed six units, and heavily damaged several others.

This is the same place where a fire six years ago destroyed 24 apartments and left several hundred people homeless.


In fact, that fire happened just feet away from the latest one.

This afternoon's blaze broke out just before 4 o'clock in building 130 at the Cabin Lake Apartments.
The complex is located on Springfield Road in North Danville.
It would take more than two hours and thirty firefighters to get the blaze under control.

A 3-acre brush fire broke out early this morning near the train tracks on Big Falls Road near the Montgomery county line.
The rough terrain and 30-mile an hour winds made it difficult to put out.
