Now it is up to the jury to decide whether Muhammad deserves the death penalty or life in prison.

CRIMES THAT MUHAMMAD HIMSELF TRIED TO DEFEND FOR THE FIRST TWO DAYS OF THE TRIAL BEFORE SUDDENLY RETURNING HIS FATE TO THE HANDS OF HIS OWN LAWYERS.
BUT PROSECUTORS, USING A MOUNTAIN OF CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE, WERE WELL ON THEIR WAY TO VICTORY. THE JURY SAW THE BUSHMASTER RIFLE, THE SNIPER-S WEAPONTHE CHEVY CAPRICE, THE SNIPER-S NEST, AND MUHAMMAD-S FINGERPRINTS ON EVIDENCE. ALL THIS WHILE HEARING EMOTIONAL TESTIMONY FROM SURVIVORS.
THE JUDGE DENIED SEVERAL MOTIONS BY THE DEFENSE TO TOSS OUT THE CHARGES BECAUSE NO ONE EVER SAW MUHAMMAD SHOOT ANYONE. A FACT THE JURY DISMSSED AND RULED JOHN ALLEN MUHAMMAD IS A KILLER.. THIS TRIAL FOCUSED ON THE KILLING OF DEAN MEYERS, SHOT WHILE PUMPING GAS. A deer hunter was found dead in Franklin County yesterday.
Authorities believe 40-year-old Eric Bristow shot himself by accident near Cahas (cuh-HAZE) Mountain.
He failed to come back from hunting on Saturday; searchers found him hanging by a safety harness from a tree stand.
Another hunting accident also in Franklin County- A hunter fell off a tree stand and survived.
60-year-old Michael Stanley of Martinsville spent about seven hours on the ground before rescuers found him on Saturday.
He's in serious condition at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Also today- the medical examiner testifed that in his opinion Laci had not given birth and her fetus Connor died with her even though he was less decomposed.

As for Peterson, his trips to court are the only break he gets from being in a 6 by 9 foot cell- and he is a target in jail.

The proposed prescription drug plan for Medicare got a big boost today.
A-A-R-P which represents 35 million senior citizens says it will work hard to get the Republican bill passed.
Its chief executive says the bill is not perfect, by the nation's seniors can't wait for perfect.
The bill, which still must pass in the House and Senate, would create a prescription drug benefit for 40 million elderly and disabled Medicare beneficiaries beginning in 2006.
