Police in the town of Wytheville are on the lookout for another robber who may have been shot during a separate attempt.
Officers say a man entered the Sunny Daze Deli-Market on Lee Highway last night and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk bent over to retrieve the money, produced a weapon and shot the suspect in the stomach.
The man left the store, got into a car and drove away.
Police say they have warned local hospitals and doctors to be on the lookout.
Officers aren't sure if anyone else is involved, but Radford police reported a similar robbery earlier yesterday evening at the Super 8 Motel on Tyler Avenue.
The robber in that case was successful and got away uninjured.
