Good Evening. I'm Jean Jadhon.
Police have charged Alfonso Rodriguez with kidnapping in the case of the missing student.

((The arrest of a known sex offender may have North Dakota police one step closer to reuniting a 22 year old college student Dru Sjodin (sha-deen's) ...with her family.
Alan Sjodin / Father of Missing Woman. "we know you are there and our strength is drawn off of you.". Alfonso Rodriguez, is being described as a predatory sex offender - with a history of sexual contact and attempted kidnapping of adult women. And police have placed him in the shopping mall where Dru disappeared.
Peter Welte/Grand Forks - State Attorney: He was in the parking lot and we have probable cause and issued the arrest based on that, that he was there. Jennifer Donelan reporting: Police are not saying if rodriguez who is charged with kidnapping..is cooperating - and have not revealed if they have learned anything new after the arrest. Search teams are not letting up on their task.
Police Chief John Packett/Grand Forks. This investigation has only reached the 50 yard line -
Sjoden went missing after she'd finished work at the mall in Grand Forks North Dakota. She was on her cell phone with her boyfriend when he heard her say , "oh my god. no" then, the phone went dead. During a second call, a few hours later, there was only the sound of static and numbers being pressed. But a cell tower picked up the signal for a full 24 hours after the call - and that's why searchers have focused their efforts around the range of that tower. Sjoden's brother says the arrest of Rodriguez may have delivered a piece of a puzzle..the next step is to bring Dru home. Sven Sjoden / Brother of missing student. We'll see you in a while. Right now...the hopes of the Sjoden family are focused on a man behind bars....who may or may not provide the final solution to that puzzle. Jennifer Donelan/CBS News Grand Forks, North Dakota.))
