Another unit returned to Fort Lee near Petersburg.
The two dozen soldiers of the 54th Quartermaster Mortuary unit have spent last eight months in Iraq.

The former Henry County Administrator is named in six counts of tax evasion and fraud. The indictment alleges Clower under-reported his income by as much as 97-thousand dollars in one year. He has admitted stealing 800-thousand during the decade he worked for the County.

Sjodin (Shoh-DEEN) dissapeared from a mall parking lot November 22. Police say Rodriguez was in the parking lot at the time driving a 2002 Mercury Sable. The Floyd County man who held police on a nearly 10-hour standoff last month is now charged with manufacturing an explosive device.
This week a grand jury indicted 48 year old Jerry Lee Noakes on the charge.

Today, the Nikki Giovanni Poetry Collection was named one of five finalists for the Best Spoken Word Album.
Giovanni has taught writing and literature at Virginia Tech since 1987.
The Grammys will be awarded February 8th in Los Angeles.

The Virginia Tech men's basketball team lost to Old Dominion tonight at the Cassell 94-to-92 in overtime. Bryant Matthews led the way for Tech with a career high 37 points. Tech is at Ohio State on Saturday.

She entered it for auction at a Festival sponsored by the Primary Children's Medical Center.

So they compromised -- the silver beer cans were wrapped with ribbon so the labels would not show. Even after censoring the "Jingle Buds" tree, it still sold for several hundred dollars. The event raises more than a million dollars annually for the hospital.
